Casa de Peregrinos is set to host its annual Hope for the Holidays Thanksgiving Distribution on November 25, 2024. The event will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the NMSU parking lot in Las Cruces, New Mexico. This year, Casa de Peregrinos aims to serve 5,000 families with complete Thanksgiving meals.

The initiative is supported by Nusenda Credit Union, which is the title sponsor of the event. Joe Christian, President and CEO of Nusenda Credit Union, expressed his admiration for Casa de Peregrinos' efforts. "Casa de Peregrinos’ dedication to the community year-round is inspiring," he stated. He also noted that Nusenda shares a commitment to community well-being and feels honored to partner with Casa de Peregrinos for this impactful event.

Casa de Peregrinos continues its mission to combat food insecurity in Doña Ana County by providing nutritious meals during the holiday season. The meal packages distributed will include traditional Thanksgiving dishes, ensuring that families can enjoy a festive meal together.

This distribution has become an essential resource for many local families who might otherwise not have access to such meals during the holidays.
