The Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) is requesting the community’s assistance with locating next of kin for an inmate who passed away at MDC this week.
On Wednesday, Nov.30, at 7:23 a.m., the Metropolitan Detention Center staff responded to an emergency code for an inmate in medical distress who, after numerous life-saving attempts, passed away. The inmate’s name is April Trujillo, date of birth: Oct. 3, 1981.
Unfortunately, the attempts to notify next of kin have not been successful. MDC is asking anyone who might know the family of April Trujillo to please call the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office at 505-798-7000 and ask to speak to Detective Martin Lozano.
