600 Million Pounds of Candy

Did you know? Americans buy an estimated 600 million pounds of candy for Halloween each year.

That’s a LOT of candy wrappers that need to be disposed of!

Remember, candy wrappers are NOT recyclable because they are made with mixed materials and are too small to be captured by automated recycling sorting machines. Be sure to toss all candy wrappers in the trash.

May be an image of text that says 'Halloween Recycling Tip Candy Wrappers? Not Recyclable dars Yo 1 Wrappers are made from a mix of plastics and metal, and thus are not recyclable. Dispose of candy wrappers in the trash.'
