Rep. Melanie Stansbury, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing New Mexico's 1st district, has been vocal on several issues through her recent social media posts. A member of Congress since 2021, Stansbury has shared her perspectives on education, workforce protection, and climate policy.

On January 24, 2025, Rep. Stansbury emphasized the importance of education by stating that "Education is a human right. Every single person deserves access to education and the tools they need to thrive." She highlighted the critical nature of ensuring educational access for all as a foundation for democracy.

In another post dated January 25, 2025, she addressed concerns regarding potential actions against the Federal Workforce by political figures such as Trump and members of the GOP. Stansbury declared "What to know about DOGE: Trump & the GOP plan to go after the Federal Workforce and already have." She assured constituents that efforts would be made to protect essential programs and services.

Later on January 25, Rep. Stansbury responded to environmental policy changes under former President Trump. Following executive orders perceived as anti-climate, she expressed readiness to counter these moves with a commitment to safeguarding natural resources: "As Trump removed the U.S. from international climate agreements this week and unleashed a slew of anti-climate and clean energy executive orders—we’re ready to fight back and protect our air, lands, and waters!"
