City of Albuquerque has announced a two-hour weather delay for non-essential services, with facilities opening at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 7, 2024. The public is advised to limit travel and drive cautiously if necessary. City road crews are actively salting major roads.

Essential services such as the 311 call center and public safety departments will remain operational throughout the day.

Public transit services including ABQ RIDE and Sun Van will start later than usual, beginning at 8:00 a.m. The Customer Service call center remains unaffected by the delay and opens at its regular time of 8:00 a.m. Residents can contact the service at 243-RIDE during normal hours for inquiries or support. Safety concerns at bus stops or transit facilities can be reported using the See Say app.

Up-to-date information on transit services is available on ABQRIDE.com or through the Transit app.

Solid waste collection for commercial entities will commence around 7:30 a.m., while residential collection starts at approximately 8:30 a.m. Residents are encouraged to use the Recycle Coach app for updates on trash and recycling schedules affected by weather conditions.

For emergencies, residents should dial 911, while road conditions can be checked by calling either 511 or (800) 432-4269. Non-emergency inquiries can be directed to 311. Overnight transportation to shelters between 8 p.m. and 7 a.m. is available through the Albuquerque Community Safety department at 505-418-6178.

The city anticipates an increase in traffic incidents due to hazardous driving conditions. While APD and AFR are ready to respond, minor crashes not requiring their presence should be reported via phone at 242-COPS or online.
