Albuquerque, Apr 15 2024 - Get ready for an evening filled with curiosity and creativity as the Anderson Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum gears up to host a captivating STEAM Night on Saturday, April 20 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The event promises an engaging exploration into the realms of science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics, all through the lens of animation and cartooning. The Balloon Museum will present an immersive experience that celebrates the iconic characters of Looney Toons®, particularly the beloved Roadrunner and Coyote, who have been synonymous with the Balloon Fiesta® event since its inception.

Renowned expert John Davis will deliver a lecture, offering insight into the rich history and connection between these characters and the annual fiesta. Attendees will also have the opportunity to view early original Balloon Fiesta® posters and admire a signed Chuck Jones film cell, adding a touch of nostalgia to the evening's festivities.

A live demonstration by Bryan Steagall from KidzKorner Studio will provide a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the magic of bringing characters to life. Guests can participate in hands-on make-and-take activities, learning basic animation techniques and creating their own masterpieces.

In addition to the educational and interactive activities, Albuquerque's award-winning Indie Folk François duo, Bebe La La, will perform at the event. Food options will be available for purchase from the Big Boss Hot Links food truck.

For those interested in attending this exciting event, tickets can be purchased in advance at www.abqtickets.com or at the door.
