Of the 39,150 people living in South Valley in 2020, 49.1 percent (19,235) were women and 50.9 percent (19,915) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the ABQ Times.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by 1,355. In the 65 and over age range, there were 3,987 females and 3,141 males.
