Great Work to The BCSO MCAT Unit and Assisting Agencies on This Rescue

Rescue

Bernalillo County Sheriff's Office issued the following announcement on April 7.

Today members from Station 40 joined with Battalion 7, Bernalillo County Sheriff's Office MCAT Team, and Albuquerque Ambulance to rescue a five-year-old kid who fell approximately 15 feet just off Otero Canyon Trail. The fast response and well-trained actions of all involved resulted in a short rescue process and rapid transport to the hospital. The patient was in stable condition when transported. The patient is part of a small educational group that was on a nature outing in Otero Canyon. A special thanks to all who responded including Lieutenant Jaramillo, Engineer Lane, Paramedic Gonzalez, and Firefighters Beyes and Garcia. Job well done!
