Students from Artisco and Deming High School came to testify on House Bill 118, Rep. Kelly Fajardo (R-Belen) shared in a post on Facebook on Jan. 29.
Rep. Fajardo expressed her pride in the students standing up for the bill, saying in her post that they were well prepared.
"Youth from Artisco Heritage High School and Deming High School testifying on legislation this afternoon," Fajardo said in her post.
The photo's Fajardo shared in the post show several students speaking and engaging in the conversation.
"They had talking points, did their research and presented their support clearly and effectively," Fajardo said in her post. "Would like to see more of our students learning the legislative process like this."
