Rep. Stefani Lord, a Republican member of the New Mexico State House, has recently addressed both her legislative priorities and online discourse through a series of social media posts.

On August 11, 2025, Lord stated, “Not every battle is worth leaving the high ground. I stand by my record, my timeline, and my work for this state. I’m not interested in trading personal attacks, my energy belongs on solutions and results. I choose not to feed division. My focus is forward.” In this post, she emphasized her commitment to policy work over engaging in personal disputes.

Later that day, Lord provided an update from a legislative meeting: “Presently, I am at the NM Finance Authority Oversight Committee meeting at the beautiful Los Luceros Historic Site in Alcalde, NM. While private entities face financial constraints, I was able to get a promising lead on federal funds through the Water Project Fund, which may”. The message highlighted ongoing efforts to secure federal funding for local water projects amid budget challenges facing private organizations.

On August 12, 2025, Lord addressed an incident involving another social media user: “And here comes @AuntieBarnes, aka Jennifer T. Rhea, who is trying to start a fight on my page. I’m not going to debate with someone making vile, disgusting, HOMOPHOBIC, and body-shaming comments.”

Lord was elected in 2021 to represent New Mexico’s 22nd House district after succeeding Gregg Schmedes.
