The City of Albuquerque’s Small Business Office and Job Training Albuquerque will hold a Small Business Resource Fair on September 3, 2025, at the Main Library in downtown Albuquerque. The event aims to connect entrepreneurs with more than 30 organizations that focus on business development. City departments, lenders, marketing agencies, and other groups will be present to provide assistance and guidance.

The fair includes networking opportunities, consultations, and presentations from local business professionals. Paula Ronquillo of B:Side Capital & B:Side Fund will speak about financing options for entrepreneurs. Vic Berniklau from SCORE will explain how SCORE offers mentoring and educational resources for business owners. Jean Gurule from America’s Job Center plans to discuss workforce development programs that help businesses manage staffing and training expenses.

Job Training Albuquerque (JTA) will also highlight its services during the event. JTA currently provides over 150 industry-specific training programs at no cost to small businesses, with applications now open.

“Albuquerque’s small businesses are the heart of our local economy, and we’re committed to helping them succeed,” said Mayor Tim Keller. “This Resource Fair is about making sure entrepreneurs, whether just starting out or looking to grow, have access to the tools, training, and connections they need to thrive.”

The event is scheduled for Wednesday, September 3. The speaker series begins at 3 p.m., followed by the resource fair from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., all at the Main Library located at 501 Copper Ave NW. The event is free and open to the public. Attendees can take advantage of free parking by validating their ticket at the garage on the corner of 5th and Copper. The first 100 participants will receive a meal voucher for Al’s Big Dipper. Registration information is available at abqedd.com/events.
