Rep. Stefani Lord, a Republican elected to the New Mexico State House in 2021 to represent the state’s 22nd House district, has recently used her social media platform to comment on several political and security developments involving New Mexico.

On October 14, 2025, Lord posted about an incident involving a political candidate: “Not surprised that an Emerge-trained New Mexico candidate was caught on camera calling conservatives “MAGA f**gots.”

This is exactly what I wrote about in my Albuquerque Journal op-ed: the intolerance and hypocrisy inside organizations that claim to “empower women.”

Hatred https://t.co/5azvMC6Uj4“. In her post, Lord referenced previous concerns she had raised regarding intolerance within certain organizations focused on women’s empowerment.

Two days later, on October 16, 2025, Lord commented on a legal development in state politics: ” Big move in NM politics:
Former Democrat @CivilRightsNM, now an Independent, has filed a Writ of Mandamus before the New Mexico Supreme Court challenging @GovMLG’s unconstitutional line-item vetoes in HB-1.

The petition argues that the governor distorted legislative intent https://t.co/eLTPPxSKk6“. The statement refers to ongoing debates over executive authority and legislative processes in New Mexico.

On October 17, 2025, Lord addressed national security concerns by sharing news of an arrest: “Up until yesterday, this murderous terrorist was living here in the United States!

“Mahmoud Amin Ya’qub Al-Muhtadi, 33, a Gazan native currently residing in Lafayette, Louisiana, was arrested yesterday for his alleged involvement in the Hamas-led terrorist attack against Israel https://t.co/ULhdYEEkg3“.

Lord began serving as state representative after replacing Gregg Schmedes. Her recent statements reflect ongoing political discourse at both state and national levels concerning partisanship, government actions, and public safety.
