U.S. Representative Melanie Stansbury has reaffirmed her commitment to protecting Social Security and honoring American service members in a series of posts on her official Twitter account.

On August 7, 2025, Stansbury stated, “Hands off our Social Security! I’ve been on the frontlines fighting efforts to gut and privatize Social Security since day one, and I am proud to introduce the Hands Off Our Social Security Act—to protect that promise for generations to come. Millions of Americans—including https://t.co/CxAUB8IeA7”. The post signals her continued advocacy against attempts to reduce or privatize Social Security benefits.

Later the same day, she recognized National Purple Heart Day with another post: “As we honor National Purple Heart Day, join me in paying tribute to the nearly 2 million service members who have been wounded or killed in service to our nation. We stand with our heroes and their sacrifices on behalf of our nation.” This message highlights her support for military personnel and veterans.

On August 8, 2025, Stansbury paid individual tribute by writing, “Sgt. Aaron Turner—thank you for your bravery, courage, service to this country, and for protecting your fellow service members. You are among the best of us! https://t.co/7kDB2XH9Cc”
