On October 2, 2025, Stansbury posted a message referencing advice from her mother: “As my mother always told me, listen when people tell you who they are.”

Later that day, she celebrated legislative developments in New Mexico. On October 3, 2025, Stansbury wrote: ” Some amazing news! Our Legislature just gaveled out in a historic Special Session to shore up healthcare, food assistance, and public broadcasting funding in New Mexico! I’m so proud to have made it home in time to see the final bill pass!”

Continuing her engagement with constituents, Stansbury announced an event at the Albuquerque Convention Center following the conclusion of the special session. On October 3, 2025, she posted: “Fresh off a two-day legislative session in the New Mexico State House, NM State House Speaker Javier Martinez and members of the New Mexico Legislature will be joining us at our Town Hall this afternoon at 4:00 PM at the Albuquerque Convention Center! We’ll be talking not only”

Stansbury has represented New Mexico in Congress after securing victories in several general elections. In 2024, she defeated Steve Jones with 56.4% of the vote; in 2022 she won against Michelle Garcia Holmes with 55.8%; and in 2021 she prevailed over Mark Moores with 60.4%.
