Rep. Melanie Stansbury, U.S. Representative for New Mexico’s 1st congressional district, posted a series of statements on her official X (formerly Twitter) account on December 6, 2025, addressing local community events and national political issues.

In one post published at 01:54 UTC, Stansbury celebrated the opening of a new fire station in Albuquerque, writing: “What a joy and honor to help kick off the opening of Albuquerque’s new Fire Station #12! Later that day at 21:45 UTC, Stansbury turned her attention to national politics, stating: “It’s clear the WH and GOP have put the country in crisis.

Shortly after at 22:02 UTC, she followed up with another critical remark regarding the current administration: “This should tell you everything you need to know about this Admin “

She retained her seat in subsequent elections, defeating Michelle Garcia Holmes in 2022 with nearly 56% support and Steve Jones in 2024 with over 56% as well.
