U.S. Representative Melanie Stansbury has used her social media platform to address concerns about election integrity and highlight community engagement initiatives in recent posts.

On July 29, 2025, Stansbury raised alarms regarding redistricting practices in Florida, stating: “Florida, listen up! Your state’s Governor is openly talking about using gerrymandered maps to cheat in the 2026 election. As @RepDarrenSoto of Orlando explains—this would be unprecedented. It’s time to speak up, speak out, and get involved! Time to say #HellNo to gerrymandered”.

Continuing the discussion on voting rights and redistricting, Stansbury posted on July 30, 2025: “What happens when states cheat on redistricting? They get taken to court. In today’s episode, we talk to @marinakjenkins of @DemRedistrict—of the major organizations fighting to protect your vote. We met at the Supreme Court to talk about how folks are fighting back. We planned”.

In addition to her focus on electoral issues, Stansbury highlighted a visit with community members in New Mexico. On July 30, she wrote: “Today, we were deeply honored to visit the Pueblo of Sandia and tour their new Early Childhood Education Center—which will be a hub for learning and language. It was also such a joy to visit the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center and their new Makers Space at the @indianpueblo”.

Melanie Stansbury has represented New Mexico in Congress since winning a special election in 2021 against Mark Moores with 60.4% of the vote. She continued her tenure by defeating Michelle Garcia Holmes in 2022 with 55.8% support and Steve Jones in 2024 with 56.4% of votes cast.
