Early voting for the 2025 Regular Local Election in Bernalillo County will expand on Saturday, October 18, with the opening of 19 additional early voting locations. The Bernalillo County Clerk’s Office announced that these sites will be available for voters to cast ballots, return absentee ballots, or use same-day voter registration.

Early voting will be offered from October 18 through November 1, Monday through Saturday, between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. Absentee ballots can be returned at any early voting location or at polling sites on Election Day, which falls on Tuesday, November 4. All voters, including those returning absentee ballots, will receive an “I Voted” sticker.

Same-day voter registration will be available during early voting and on Election Day. This service allows eligible residents to register, update their voter information, and vote in one visit.

The Bernalillo County Clerk’s Office provides a list of early voting locations and additional election information at berncoclerk.gov. The office can also be reached by phone at 505-243-VOTE (8683) or by email at clerk@bernco.gov.

The announcement comes as the District Attorney of Bernalillo County has expressed concern about suspects being released without GPS monitors, despite requirements to wear them. In a recent case, a suspect accused of aggravated assault was released by a judge after the DA’s office sought to keep him in custody.
