Bernalillo County Commissioner Frank Baca and the county’s Parks, Recreation and Open Space department will hold a Mountain View Circle Back Community Conversation on September 24, 2025. The event will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Mountain View Elementary School Cafeteria, located at 5317 2nd St. SW. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.

This meeting marks the fourth community discussion about plans for a future neighborhood park in the Mountain View area. The agenda includes a presentation on the proposed Parks, Recreation and Open Space Network for the region and an update on research into possible park locations. Residents are invited to give feedback on what should happen next in the process.

Public Works representatives are scheduled to discuss planned roadway development that will support both the new park and other future projects in Mountain View. Planning & Development Services staff will provide an update on the Mountain View Sector Development Plan, which is intended to guide local growth and land use decisions.

The Economic Development Department will also be present to share information about a potential project under consideration for Mountain View.

In related county news, concerns have been raised by the District Attorney of Bernalillo County over suspects violating GPS monitor rules and being released without monitors despite serious charges, as illustrated by recent cases in Albuquerque.
