A new outpatient center focused on recovery has opened in Bernalillo County, aiming to increase access to substance use disorder services. The Bernalillo County Recovery Support Center, located at 517 Cardenas Dr. SE, held an open house and program for community members and service providers to introduce its intensive outpatient therapy services.
Operated by Endorphin Power Company (EPC) under a contract with the county’s Behavioral Health Authority Division, the center offers intensive outpatient therapy, counseling, case management, and group programs designed for individuals in recovery who wish to remain active in their daily lives.
The facility features several meeting rooms for therapy and support groups, office space for staff, a kitchen, a reception area, and technology to support hybrid programming. These amenities are intended to provide an accessible environment for those seeking help.
Funding for the $6 million building came from behavioral health gross receipts tax revenue, grants, and general funds.
EPC brings over two decades of experience supporting people in recovery. Its team includes licensed clinicians, case managers, and volunteers who provide wraparound care in a community setting.
Both self-referrals and provider referrals are accepted. Community members interested in more information or making a referral can contact EPC at 505-268-3372 or visit endorphinpower.org.
The open house also recognized September as National Recovery Month to promote hope and reduce stigma around substance use disorder.
