Bernalillo County Fire & Rescue (BCFR) is inviting those interested in a firefighting career to attend an information session on Tuesday, October 21, at 1 p.m. The event will be held at the Bernalillo County Public Safety Training Academy, located at 3801 Broadway Blvd. SE in Albuquerque.
The session aims to inform potential recruits about the department’s compensation, benefits, and hiring process. Attendees will also meet BCFR team members and learn about the department’s mission and expectations for community service.
“For those who missed our first session, this is another opportunity to gain valuable insight into a career with BCFR and connect directly with our training staff and firefighters,” said Division Chief of Training Eric Wasson. “It’s an excellent chance to ask questions, learn about the process, and prepare for the next step in joining BCFR.”
Participants will receive guidance on physical readiness. They are encouraged to bring athletic shoes, long pants, leather gloves, and a water bottle.
