Business owners in Bernalillo County are being reminded to file their Business Personal Property (BPP) renditions. The Office of the Assessor has extended the 2026 deadline to Monday, March 2, since February 28 falls on a non-business day this year.

Reports can be submitted online at https://assessor.bernco.gov/smartfile, by email at BPP@bernco.gov, by fax at 505.222.3771, in person at 415 Silver Ave., SW, or by mail to PO Box 27108, Albuquerque, NM, 87125. Mailed renditions must be postmarked no later than March 2.

Business owners who do not file a BPP rendition will face a five percent penalty added to their 2026 Notice of Value and subsequent tax statement.

Assessor’s staff are available for assistance by phone at 505-222-3750 or through the website www.bernco.gov/assessor, where forms are offered in both English and Spanish.

The reminder comes as Bernalillo County faces other administrative challenges. Recently, the District Attorney of Bernalillo County expressed frustration over suspects violating GPS monitor rules and returning to the streets when they should remain under supervision.

“Don’t delay, file your BPP renditions TODAY.”
