The Bernalillo County Clerk’s Office will participate in National Voter Registration Day on Tuesday, September 16. Clerk Michelle S. Kavanaugh has invited the public to take part in this nonpartisan event, which aims to help people register to vote or update their voter information.
Outreach teams from the Clerk’s Office will be present at several locations, including Holly Plaza, Andalucia, Central Mercado, and 98th & Central. They will also be at the University of New Mexico Student Union Building and Central New Mexico Community College Main Campus Student Services from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“Este día es una gran oportunidad para que los residentes se registren o actualicen su información de votante y estén listos para votar en las Elecciones Locales Regulares del 4 de Noviembre,” comentó la secretaria Kavanaugh.
Visitors to these sites can listen to live radio broadcasts and receive promotional items.

In other county news, there have been concerns about suspects not complying with GPS monitoring requirements while awaiting trial. The District Attorney of Bernalillo County has expressed frustration that some individuals are being released without monitors when they are supposed to have them.
