The Anderson Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum will host an event called STEAM Night: Art of Ballooning on Friday, January 31, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The event is designed for all ages and aims to highlight the connections between science, technology, engineering, art, and math through the theme of ballooning.
According to the museum’s announcement, “Guests can try their hand at balloon-inspired artwork, experiment with photography techniques, and watch live art demonstrations that bring the beauty of ballooning to life. The evening will also feature balloon crafts, live music by Ryan Smith, and food available from The Munchie Truck, creating a fun, relaxed atmosphere for learners of all ages.”
The museum noted that artists have been inspired by ballooning since its origins in 1783. This influence is reflected in various artistic forms found in museums and collections worldwide.
“Whether you’re an artist, a science enthusiast, or simply looking for a unique family outing, STEAM Night: Art of Ballooning offers a hands-on celebration of creativity, innovation, and the enduring magic of balloons. The event is free with regular museum admission,” according to organizers.
